Glenn M. Woods, M.D.

Dr. Glenn Woods is a highly accomplished anesthesiologist with more than 30 years of clinical experience at East Alabama Medical Center. He has spent his career caring for patients across the full spectrum of anesthesia care, including general, cardiac, pediatric, obstetric, outpatient and pain management.

Dr. Woods completed his medical degree and anesthesiology residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, following a surgical internship at Carraway Methodist Medical Center. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Med Biology from Auburn University, where he graduated summa cum laude.

In addition to his extensive operating room experience, Dr. Woods serves as the director of Pain Management at East Alabama Medical Center and is well known for his skill and expertise in ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. He is ACLS and BCLS certified, licensed in Alabama, Georgia and Florida, and has served as a consultant for Auburn University Athletics.

Known for his clinical leadership, depth of experience and commitment to patient care, Dr. Woods brings a practical, real-world perspective to medicine that spans decades and disciplines.
