There are several activities across the organization this Christmas season with the fun kicking off Monday, Dec. 8. See below for a list of events and ways to get involved or click the link to download a calendar.

Christmas Parties

Please email photos from your department’s Christmas party as attachments to daly.haralson@eamc.org for East Alabama Health's social media pages. Please only send group shots (maximum of three photos per party, please).

Gingerbread House Contest Rules

Take to Main Lobby at EAMC or EAMC-Lanier on Tuesday, December 16 between 11 - 1 p.m.
  • Open to all East Alabama Health departments and clinics
  • *1 gingerbread house entry per department/clinic*
Entries should be delivered along with an entry form (available at drop-off location) to the Main Lobby (at EAMC or EAMC-Lanier) on Tuesday, Dec. 16 between 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. The gingerbread houses will remain on display until Dec. 30. Please pick up your gingerbread house by 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30 or it will be discarded.
There will be a "Fan's Choice" winner, and a "Judges' Choice" winner.  Voting for the "Fan's Choice Winner" will take place on the EAH and EAMC-Lanier Facebook pages. The winner for each campus will be announced on Friday, Jan. 2 in The Breakroom newsletter.

If your department chooses to participate in any dress up days, please send group photos to daly.haralson@eamc.org to be featured on our East Alabama Health social media accounts. 

Week of Dec. 8–13

  • Monday, Dec 8 – It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
    Kick off the holiday season by wearing festive red and green attire to spread Christmas cheer.
  • Tuesday, Dec 9 – Frosty the Snowman
    Celebrate the winter classic with Frosty-themed attire.
  • Wednesday, Dec 10 – Rein-Dog Parade & Hot Chocolate Bar
    Join us in the EAMC Main Lobby at 6 p.m. CST for a parade of adorable pups in holiday gear and enjoy a cozy hot chocolate bar.
  • Thursday, Dec 11 – Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
    Brighten the day by wearing Rudolph-inspired attire.
  • Friday, Dec 12 – Christmas Grams to Co-Workers
    Share holiday spirit by sending Christmas grams to your colleagues. A Christmas gram station will be set up in the Terrace Cafe for you to write a message and hang it on a Christmas tree.
  • Saturday, Dec 13 – Deck the Halls! Dress in Your Christmas Best
    Show off your most festive holiday outfit and help make the season merry and bright.

Week of Dec. 14–20

  • Sunday, Dec 14 – Ugly Christmas Sweater Weather
    Pull out your tackiest holiday sweater and join the fun!
  • Monday, Dec 15 – You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch
    Dress up in Grinch-themed attire.
  • Tuesday, Dec 16 – Gingerbread House Contest (Drop-off)
    Submit your creative gingerbread houses for judging. Contest rules above.
  • Wednesday, Dec 17 – Merry & Bright
    Dress in sparkling, cheerful attire to light up the day.
  • Thursday, Dec 18 – Snow Globe Photo Booth in Terrace Cafe (Through Dec 23)
    Capture holiday memories at a Snow Globe photo booth available in the Terrace Café until Dec 23.
  • Friday, Dec 19 – Ugly Christmas Sweater Weather
    Another chance to flaunt your downright ugly Christmas sweater!
  • Saturday, Dec 20 – You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch
    Continue the Grinchy fun by wearing Grinch-themed attire.

Week of Dec. 21–25

  • Sunday, Dec 21 – Merry & Bright
    Keep the sparkle going with bright, festive outfits.
  • Monday, Dec 22 – Santa’s Little Helpers: Elf Attire
    Dress up as Santa’s cheerful helpers and spread holiday joy.
  • Tuesday, Dec 23 – Last Day for Snow Globe Photo Booth
    Don’t miss your final opportunity to snap a holiday photo in the Snow Globe booth!
  • Thursday, Dec 25 – Merry Christmas
    Celebrate the big day with warmth, joy and holiday cheer!
