The deadline for the fall 2027 On-site LPN Program has been extended to meet the growing need for nurses within our service area.

The deadline for East Alabama Health employees to apply is July 31. Applications for non-employees open Aug. 1. Employees must be in good standing.

Program Highlights:

  • Three semesters to graduate with a Practical Nursing Degree
  • Students get paid to attend class and clinicals, and EAH covers tuition, books, and fees
  • Students are eligible to fill LPN roles after licensure
  • There is a commitment to work with EAH for 2 years after graduation
  • The LPN program is in partnership with Chattahoochee Valley Community College, with classes held in-person at the Auburn Education Center and clinicals at an EAH site.

The program requires a TEAS exam score of 65% or higher OR an ACT score of 21 or higher that was taken within the last 2 years and following prerequisite college courses.

  • ENG101 (English Composition I)
  • MTH100 or higher (College Algebra or higher)
  • SPH106 or 107 (Public Speaking)
  • PSY210 (Human Growth and Development)
  • BIO201 (Human Anatomy and Physiology I)
  • BIO 202 (Human Anatomy and Physiology II)

Applicants are required to have a majority of the prerequisites completed with a "C" or greater. Applicants without all the prerequisites completed must be able to take the remaining prerequisites courses the summer before beginning the program.

Additionally, you do not need to have already taken the TEAS to apply. However, a plan to do so is required.
