Dr. Hope Named Fellow of the AASM

Christopher Hope, M.D., M.H.A, was named a fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), the national professional organization for sleep medicine physicians at its annual meeting in Indianapolis, IN.
To be considered for fellowship status, a candidate must have made numerous outstanding contributions that advanced the field of Sleep Medicine in the areas of scholarship, service, and education. Dr. Hope been an invited lecturer at the state and national level on topics including quality improvement methods and sleep center leadership. He led the development of, and serves as course director for, the AASM's advanced sleep technologist clinical training program, and is vice-chairman for the Academy's committee on sleep technologist education. He also was recently appointed to the national Gold Standard Expert Panel for Adult Sleep Studies.
Dr. Hope has practiced at the Sleep Disorders Center of East Alabama since 2019, and has served as the facility's medical director for the past 3 years, which is fully accredited by the AASM.
