HR Streamlines Application Process
August 3, 2023Long job applications have a habit of leaving potential applicants frustrated, and often end up incomplete. To make the application process easier for interested job seekers, Human Resources has rolled out several changes to simplify steps while ensuring the highest quality candidates are identified. The changes have already caused a significant increase in application volume.
One of the changes allows certain EAH job postings on the website Indeed.com to be applied for using shortened applications. Initially, users are only asked to submit the information which is most relevant to the position, such as contact information and a resume attachment. These shortened applications allow HR to review and then invite applicants to submit a more detailed application if their answers and qualifications fit the needs of the open position.
Reducing application times has also made its way to our eastalabamahealth.org website. The “Short Apply” feature allows job seekers to submit condensed “first” applications on the website. This decreases the amount of time needed to apply, while also allowing HR to vet candidates before starting the interview process.
Human Resources has also added another tool to their toolbox when it comes to searching for talent. HR has partnered with SeekOut, a database allowing HR to find candidates for jobs who are passively looking for new positions.
