New Scrub Tech Apprentice Cohort Begins

Last week, the second cohort of scrub tech apprentices signed their scholarship agreements, began classes on human anatomy and took the first steps on their journey to be OR scrub techs.

The six-month program consists of six weeks of classroom learning followed by 18 weeks of specialty rotations. During their rotations, the apprentices will assist in different parts of the hospital where scrub techs are needed such as operating rooms, labor and delivery C-section suites and the cardiovascular ORs.

The newest cohort members--pictured with Ashley Hodgdon--are Kathleen Price, Nicki Perryman, Rhonda Tarvin and Hannah Buzbee.
