Join us for core stroke training and education discussions tailored for Emergency Medicine Service personnel led by Nojan Valadi, M.D.East Alabama Health is proud to offer Stroke Education sessions for Emergency Medical Service (EMS) personnel.
Led by Nojan Valadi, M.D., medical director of Neuroscience and Stroke at East Alabama Health, the Stroke Education sessions are specifically tailored for EMS to provide useful insights on stroke identification, assessment scales, stroke mimics and the critical importance of rapid transport for patients experiencing a stroke.
These sessions are open to EMS employees across all agencies in east Alabama.
Topics the course will cover include:
- Core Stroke Training
- EMSA Scale Test
- Time is Brain: Importance of Rapid Transport
- Blood Glucose & Stroke Mimics
- EAMC Stroke Runs
EMS providers will receive two contact hours for this course.
