About Free Mammogram Days
Breast cancer is the most common form of cancer among women in the United States. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
Early screening and detection is not only important, it is crucial.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to promote the importance of early detection, East Alabama Health is offering two Free Mammogram Days in October for uninsured women.
Eligibility Requirements
To schedule a free mammogram, you must:
- Be medically uninsured.
- Be a woman 40 years or older.
- Have not had a mammogram in the past 12 months.
- Have not had any prior abnormalities found in breast screenings.
Appointments are required and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Locations Offering Free Mammograms
East Alabama Health is offering free mammogram days at the following locations in October:
- EAMC-Lanier Rural Emergency Hospital in Valley on Friday, Oct. 23
- Breast Health Center in Auburn on Friday, Oct. 30
