The Breast Health Center, owned by East Alabama Health and located on the 3rd floor of the Auburn Medical Pavilion, provides women with comprehensive breast imaging services like 3D mammography and breast ultrasounds.  

Unlike other imaging facilities, the Breast Health Center focuses solely on women’s health and breast imaging services. As the region's only imaging facility dedicated to breast health, our team of mammography technologists and ultrasound technologists only perform breast radiology services, offering our patients a completely specialized care experience. 

Each radiologist of the all-female team at the Breast Health Center has completed a breast radiology fellowship, meaning they received specialized training focused on breast imaging.

Our patients receive comprehensive imaging care and guidance all in one place. From annual mammograms to our specialized breast imaging navigator service that helps patients set up follow-up appointments or oncology care if need, we are here to serve you.  

• Mammography Services: The Breast Health Center has three 3D mammography machines. Mammograms are low-dose x-rays that look for abnormal changes in breast tissue and are a critical part of breast health.

• Breast Ultrasound: Our facility offers two ultrasound machines. Breast ultrasound is used to determine if a mass found during a mammogram is made of solid tissue or is filled with fluid.

• Breast Imaging Navigation: A breast imaging navigator is a sonographer who is specially trained and knowledgeable in coordinating the clinical care and education of a patient who is diagnosed with breast cancer.
