Donna Cochran recently received care at the Infusion Center of East Alabama. Below is her experience:
I am from Dadeville, Ala., and I was brought to the Infusion Center at East Alabama Medical Center by a referral from my doctor. I have low magnesium because of my past diagnosis and treatment of colon cancer, so I come to the Infusion Center for magnesium infusions.
With COVID and my illness, I have been in the hospital frequently for the past year and a half. Being able to come to the Infusion Center and spend time with other people makes a big difference in my health and my life.
My day is made each Thursday morning when I arrive for my infusions. The staff know me by name, and every week when I arrive, they’ve got a blanket ready and anything else I might possibly need. They always check on me, make sure I’m comfortable, and take time to talk to me.
The infusions have helped so much, not only as treatment, but also to get me out of the house. I was an active 70-year-old prior to my illnesses, and I am now working my way back to being as active as I was. There was a time when I had to be brought in for my infusions in a wheelchair, but now I am able to walk and get around better.
I would recommend the Infusion Center and its team of nurses to anybody that needs infusions of any kind. They are top tier. You can’t find any better!
