VALLEY, Ala.—The EAMC-Lanier Nursing Home has been recognized on Newsweek’s 2025 list of America’s Best Nursing Homes.

“For our facility to be recognized as one of the nation’s best nursing homes is a testament to our team’s dedication to providing exceptional care for all our residents,” said Greg Nichols, East Alabama Health’s chief facilities officer and administrator of EAMC-Lanier Rural Emergency Hospital.

The America’s Best Nursing Homes 2025 ranking lists the nation’s leading nursing homes in the 25 states with the highest number of facilities according to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The evaluation was based on performance data provided by CMS, peer recommendations, accreditation scores, and resident satisfaction scores.

“Our team takes great pride in ensuring residents truly feel at home, supported and valued,” Nichols said. “This recognition fuels our passion to continue raising the bar for quality care and resident well-being.”

The EAMC-Lanier Nursing Home has 103 beds that are dually certified to offer skilled and intermediate nursing care. The nursing home, which offers both private and semi-private rooms, is connected to EAMC-Lanier Rural Emergency Hospital and has visitation lounges and dining rooms on each floor.
