EAMC Open for Business
May 7, 2020
EAMC clinics, physician offices and departments have resumed regular hours and are treating patients while adhering to Governor Ivey's orders.
Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in our region, EAMC has committed to extensive and proactive measures to ensure the safety and protection of patients and staff. While some offices adjusted hours or implemented telehealth, we have continued to serve the regions throughout the COVID-19 outbreak.
Most offices have returned to normal business hours, but measures that EAMC has put in place to protect you include:
-
Every person, including all physicians and EAMC employees, is screened every day for COVID-19 symptoms or exposure, prior to entry.
-
Any person entering an EAMC building is required to wear a mask at all times.
-
All EAMC staff and employees wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
-
EAMC has extremely high standards for cleanliness and disinfection methods.
-
In addition to these already rigorous guidelines, additional disinfection is taking place around the clock in all areas of the hospital, including in waiting areas.
-
Social distancing is taking place whenever possible among EAMC staff and no more than 10 people are allowed in a room at one time.
