East Alabama Health to Operate and Manage Bullock County Rural Emergency Hospital

OPELIKA, Ala.—Officials with East Alabama Health (EAH) announced today that the organization will step in to operate and manage Bullock County Rural Emergency Hospital in Union Springs, ensuring the continued availability of critical health care services for residents in and around Bullock County. The management agreement is effective immediately.
Following the notice of departure of Bullock County Rural Emergency Hospital’s previous operator, maintaining uninterrupted access to emergency and essential outpatient services became a top priority for Bullock County leaders. East Alabama Health, at the request of the Bullock County Health Care Authority, moved quickly to provide operational stability and continuity of care.
