Chelsea Zimmerman, M.D.
Chelsea Zimmerman, M.D. recently joined the team at Endocrinology and Metabolism of East Alabama. Dr. Zimmerman earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, and completed both her residency and pediatric endocrinology fellowship at the University of Florida.
Dr. Zimmerman has received several awards, including the Audrey Lincourt Schiebler Award for Excellence in Child Advocacy and the Children’s Miracle Network Research Award. She has also participated in research on diabetes technology, trained school nurses and staff to care for children with diabetes, and volunteered at multiple camps for children with diabetes.
Dr. Zimmerman has been married to her husband, Arthur, for eight years. They have two children, Samuel and Hazel. In her spare time, Dr. Zimmerman enjoys hiking, baking, and spending time with her family.
Dr. Zimmerman is board certified in pediatrics and board eligible for pediatric endocrinology. She is practicing at Endocrinology and Metabolism of East Alabama, 2420 Village Professional Drive in Opelika. To make an appointment, call 334-528-7270.
