East Alabama Health Welcomes Grant A. Bond, M.D

Grant A. Bond, M.D. recently joined the team at East Alabama Plastic Surgery. Dr. Bond earned his undergraduate degree in computer science from Duke University and went on to obtain his medical degree from Meharry Medical College. He then completed his general surgery residency at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, Tenn. and his plastic surgery residency at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Dr. Bond is originally from Memphis and chose to practice medicine after his aunt received a life changing kidney and pancreas transplant during his sophomore year of college. During his training as a general surgeon, he became interested in specializing in plastic surgery.

Dr. Bond and his wife, Brittney Z. Heard, M.D., a cardiac electrophysiologist at Pinnacle Cardiovascular Associates, have one son, Beau. In his spare time, Dr. Bond enjoys art, history, playing guitar and piano, home aquariums, fishing, and studying the Japanese language.
