East Alabama Health Welcomes Jordan Nickols, M.D
July 5, 2022
Jordan Nickols, M.D.
Jordan Nickols, M.D. recently joined the team at East Alabama Medical Center as a hospitalist and will also be a part of East Alabama Health’s Internal Medicine (IM) Residency Program.
Dr. Nickols received his undergraduate degree from Troy University. He then earned his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine and completed his residency with Prisma Health Upstate. He is board certified in internal medicine and pediatrics.
Wanting to challenge himself while also making a difference in the lives of others, Dr. Nickols chose a career in medicine. He specifically chose to practice at East Alabama Medical Center because of his desire for an environment that would nurture growth and motivate persistent learning and training. He is looking forward to the opportunity to develop as a hospitalist, as well as the opportunity to work with residents and students through the IM Residency Program.
Dr. Nickols’ medical interests include Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS), hospitalist medicine, and academic medicine.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Nickols was on the collegiate rugby team at Troy University for four years. He and his wife, Hope, have two sons, Charlie and Sam. In his spare time, he enjoys fine woodworking and training his three dogs.
Dr. Nickols will be practicing at East Alabama Medical Center beginning in August.
