East Alabama Health Welcomes Samantha Lawson, D.O.

Samantha Lawson, D.O. recently joined the team at the new Primary Medicine Associates in Smiths Station, Ala.

After earning her medical degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine in Dothan, Dr. Lawson completed her family medicine residency at Baptist Hospital in Montgomery, where she was elected Chief Resident of her class. She is board certified by the Alabama Board of Family Medicine and is experienced in seeing patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults.

Originally from Smiths Station, Dr. Lawson chose to practice family medicine because of her passion for rural health care and the growing need for rural health providers. She is excited to be able to provide quality health care to the community in her hometown.

She and her husband, Cole, are high school sweethearts and have a cat named Ike. In her spare time, Dr. Lawson enjoys reading a good book, cooking for family, and baking sweets.
