About Me
Josh Butler, D.O. is an endocrinologist at Endocrinology and Metabolism of East Alabama. Originally from Nashville, Tenn., Dr. Butler attended Auburn University for his undergraduate degree and then earned his medical degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Butler completed both his residency and fellowship at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and was also an assistant professor of internal medicine there from 2021-2023.
From an early age, Dr. Butler saw firsthand how deeply physicians can impact their patients and communities when they invest in building meaningful relationships. During his medical training, he developed a passion for creating personalized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs — a focus that ultimately inspired him to pursue a career in endocrinology.
In his free time, Dr. Butler enjoys spending time with his wife and son and playing golf and pickleball.
