About Me
Major Hargrove, D.O. is an internal medicine physician practicing at Auburn University Medical Clinic (AUMC). Originally from Northport, Ala., Dr. Hargrove earned his medical degree from the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Auburn and completed his residency at East Alabama Health’s Internal Medicine Residency Program. While at VCOM-Auburn, Dr. Hargrove received the BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama Scholarship and the Distinguished Student Award in Psychiatry.
Dr. Hargrove’s professional interests include preventive health, chronic disease management, and student health. He chose a career in internal medicine because he values long-term relationships with patients and the opportunity to promote wellness through prevention and education. Dr. Hargrove chose to practice at East Alabama Health after experiencing its supportive culture during his residency. He is excited for the opportunity to build a life in the Auburn/Opelika community with his wife, who is professionally rooted at the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
In his free time, Dr. Hargrove enjoys hiking with his dogs, traveling with his wife, and backyard gardening.
