Summer Day Camps
Inspiring high school students through healthcare career exploration.
Purpose
To inspire high school students to explore healthcare careers through hands-on hospital experiences and age-appropriate career exposure.
- Expose students to real hospital careers and hands-on learning.
- Provide clear, grade-specific insight into healthcare pathways.
- Build a sustainable healthcare workforce pipeline.
- Strengthen community engagement.
Target Audience
- High school students only (Grades 9–12) during the camp day
- Parents/guardians attend only the closing ceremony
Expected Outcomes
- Students gain excitement and understanding of healthcare careers.
- Older students leave with actionable next steps.
- Parents leave informed and engaged at the conclusion of the day.
Program groups are divided by grade level. Each group will get a tour of EAH, have hands-on skill stations, hear from different departments in the hospital setting, and have exciting challenges and competitions. End of day each student will receive a certificate and information sessions for their parents regarding career ladders, Earn and Learn opportunities, Dual Enrollments information, and more.
