Auburn University Dream Makers (AUDM) Volunteers
East Alabama Health is proud to partner with Auburn University Dream Makers (AUDM) — a passionate group of student volunteers dedicated to uplifting our pediatric and NICU patients and their families.
Known as Dream Makers, these Auburn students play a meaningful role in creating moments of comfort, connection, and care throughout the hospital. Whether it’s reading to babies in the NICU, helping with special events, or transforming hospital spaces with cheerful decorations, their impact is felt in every corner of the children’s unit.
Ways Dream Makers Make a Difference:
-
📖 Storytime with a Purpose – During our weekly Reading Hour, Dream Makers visit pediatric and NICU rooms to read aloud to patients. Each child receives a signed book to keep, offering a moment of joy, a sense of normalcy, and a lasting memory for families.
-
🎉 Patient Support – Assist with birthday parties, seasonal celebrations, and holiday surprises
-
🎨 Creative Touches – Help decorate pediatric and NICU spaces to create a more welcoming, kid-friendly environment
