The Christmas Ball

The EAMC Foundation Christmas Ball will once again kick off the holiday season. The evening begins with a holiday reception, a seated dinner, a live auction, and dancing by the band, Creativity. The 2026 Christmas Ball’s proceeds will benefit the expansion of cancer services at the Spencer Cancer Center.

Since opening in 2019, Spencer Cancer Center has provided high-quality, compassionate cancer care to patients across east Alabama—allowing them to receive treatment close to home. As more families turn to East Alabama Health (EAH) for care, the demand has grown beyond our current footprint.

• Patient visits have increased 74% since its opening; there were 48,290 visits in 2025 alone.

•  PET/CT scans have increased 88% since 2019.

• Gynecologic Oncology visits have risen 27% in the past year. 

This growth creates trust. It also creates urgency. East Alabama Health is moving forward with a transformative expansion of the Spencer Cancer Center to ensure every patient receives timely, comprehensive care—today and for years to come.
