COVID Drive Through Testing Event January 4

The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH), Lee County Emergency Management Agency, and East Alabama Health will be partnering to provide a one-day drive-through COVID testing event on Tuesday, January 4, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Testing for this event is free and is limited to Alabama residents who are currently experiencing COVID symptoms.
Appointments are required to be tested at this event. To make an appointment, persons are asked to contact the East Alabama Health Call Center at 334-528-4YOU (4968) on Monday, January 3 to schedule their COVID test for Tuesday, January 4.
Monday, January 3 is the only day that a person can call to get an appointment for this testing event. The Call Center’s hours of operation are 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The Call Center will be closed on Friday, December 31.
The testing event will take place at 2000 Waverly Parkway in Opelika. You must have an appointment to be tested. If you drive up without an appointment, you will be turned away.
The testing at this event is free. Proof of identification is required to match the person’s name with their appointment time. Insurance is not required.
The ADPH will call those who are tested at this event with same-day or next-day results, depending on the time of the person’s appointment.
