East Alabama Health Offering Scholarships for 2024 Spring, Summer Semesters
September 25, 2023OPELIKA, Ala.—East Alabama Health (EAH) is proud to offer scholarship loans for students seeking degrees in a health care discipline.
The scholarship loan program pays for students’ educational expenses in exchange for them agreeing to work at EAH for a minimum time frame following completion of their degree. Applicants do not have to be an EAH employee.
Degree programs considered for scholarship are based on strategic projections of East Alabama Health crucial job opportunities and degree of necessity. A sample of the programs eligible for scholarship loans include nursing, radiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, emergency medical services, surgical technology medical coding and billing.
The purpose of EAH’s scholarship program is twofold: it provides students with financial assistance and it assures EAH of well-trained, competent healthcare professionals.
Recipients agree to accept full-time employment for a period as outlined in their scholarship agreement. The exact amount of time is determined by the amount of the loan the student receives.
Students seeking to apply for scholarship loan for the 2024 spring or summer semesters must submit their applications by Friday, Oct. 6.
