Wireless Fetal Monitoring Now in all Labor and Delivery Rooms at EAMC

All patient rooms on the Labor and Delivery Unit at East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC) are now equipped with the Novii™+ Wireless Patch System, allowing continuous fetal monitoring without movement restriction for the laboring patient.

This wireless, beltless technology allows moms-to-be to move more freely, change positions, rest comfortably and even shower during labor without being restricted by traditional cords and monitors. The monitoring system measures fetal heart rate, maternal heart rate and contractions.

By encouraging movement throughout labor, the Novii™+ system helps create a more comfortable and flexible birthing experience while supporting safe, continuous monitoring.

In addition to all Labor and Delivery rooms, the technology has also been added to the hospital’s OB Observation unit for patients who need extended continuous monitoring.
