About Me
Kenneth Cory Guice, D.O. is a pulmonary and critical care medicine physician practicing at East Alabama Pulmonology and East Alabama Medical Center. Originally from Alexander City, Ala., Dr. Guice earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) and completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. He went on to complete a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).
Dr. Guice is passionate about cardiac critical care, mechanical circulatory support, critical care echocardiography, and medical education. In addition to his clinical training, he has participated in lung nodule and COVID-19 outcomes research, earned a Master of Business Administration, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Healthcare Quality and Safety from UAB.
Dr. Guice’s connection to East Alabama Health began long before medical school through the East Alabama Health scholarship program, where he worked as an ICU nurse. During that time, he discovered a passion for pulmonary and critical care medicine and was inspired to pursue a career that would ultimately bring him back to the community that played such an important role in shaping his professional journey.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Guice enjoys running, cycling, cooking, and traveling.
