Providing Compassionate Mental Health Care for East Alabama
East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC) North brings together outpatient care through East Alabama Psychiatric Services, inpatient mental health treatment, and psychiatry residency training in a modern, state-of-the-art environment. The 54,000-square-foot facility provides a safe environment for patients throughout east Alabama and west Georgia who need mental health care services.

Outpatient Psychiatric Care
East Alabama Psychiatric Services (EAPS), which is located within EAMC North, is an outpatient clinic that provides treatment to children, adolescents and adults. Our clinical team creates personalized treatment plans to meet each patient’s unique mental health needs, ensuring compassionate, high-quality care and support.

Inpatient Psychiatric Services
Our dedicated team of psychiatric experts provide 24/7 inpatient care for children, adolescents, and adults, guiding patients and families through the healing process with compassion and expertise. The facility features dedicated adult inpatient units (female and male), a short-term child/adolescent unit, and a long-term adolescent unit.
***Please note that emergency services are not available at this location. To be admitted for inpatient psychiatric care at EAMC North, patients must first be evaluated at an emergency department.***
