Sarah Nunnelly Announced as Administrator of East Alabama Medical Center North

OPELIKA, Ala.—East Alabama Health has announced Sarah Nunnelly as the administrator of East Alabama Medical Center (EAMC) North, the organization’s newest campus which houses 40 inpatient psychiatry beds, outpatient care through East Alabama Psychiatric Services, and a new Psychiatry Residency Program.
Nunnelly, who also serves as East Alabama Health’s chief strategy and business development officer, will oversee operations of EAMC North and guide the campus in providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare to patients throughout the east Alabama region.
“We are proud to have Sarah fill this important new role,” said Laura Grill, EAH President and CEO. “Her leadership, vision and commitment to our patients will ensure that East Alabama Medical Center North is a trusted resource for all those in our community seeking mental health services.”
EAMC North opened in December 2025.
Nunnelly is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences and the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master of Science in Health Administration. In addition to her role at East Alabama Health, she also serves on the board of the United Way of Lee County and the Boys and Girls Clubs of East Alabama.
